The World Digital Economic Forum is an international umbrella platform created to promote investment, innovation, technology transfer, digital transformation, and future economic growth across the global digital economy.

The Forum consists of a series of specialised global forums and expos covering the major sectors of the 21st-century economy, including FinTech, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Crypto, IoT, Robotics, Semiconductors, Mobile Apps, Drones, Autonomous Technology, Islamic Finance, and other emerging digital sectors. All specialised forums and expos will operate under the strategic governance and institutional leadership of the World Digital Council.

The World Digital Council will be led by Economist Mufid Ahmed, serving as President and Chair, from the financial hub of Europe — the City of London. The Council will provide global leadership, policy direction, programme coordination, investment promotion, institutional partnership, and strategic oversight.

The purpose of this governance structure is to ensure that the World Digital Economic Forum operates as a professional, credible, internationally connected, and investment-focused platform capable of bringing together governments, investors, technology companies, financial institutions, universities, research bodies, entrepreneurs, development partners, and the global diaspora.
